Food & Nutrition
Chef Henry Wiens, director of nutrition services at San Angelo Community Medical Center and host of the savor - food & life television cooking segment, is the only Culinary Institute of America (CIA) Certified chef in San Angelo. He has also won the national entegra competetion in 2005.
Henry and his staff serve about 30,000 meals a month. That includes Patient Room Service which has increased patient satisfaction. The Food and Nutrition staff serve up wonderful café meals that always has a "Better Me” healthy choice. The Catering staff covers many community events showcasing their expertise. The vision of excellence in food and service is the focus for the Food & Nutrition Department at SACMC. Bon Appetit!
