Peripheral Arterial Disease

More than 10 million Americans suffer from Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD). It is most common among people who are more than 50 years old. Risk factors for PAD include smoking, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, family history of heart attack or stroke, obesity and/or lack of physical activity.

Where: SACMC Emergency Department
When: Each weekday, only takes 35 minutes.
Who: Technicians administer the tests; a physician interprets the results
How: No referral needed, simply call 947-6262 to learn more or to schedule an appointment.
Cost: $150, paid by the patient at the time of the screening
Preparation: wear loose-fitting clothing. No fasting needed.
